⭐Pump Up Your Book Virtual Book Tour Kick Off⭐Thunder on the Moor by Andrea Matthews @amatthewsauthor #ThunderOnTheMoor #historical #timetravel #romance

When Maggie Armstrong’s border reiver father takes her back four hundred and fifty years to his sixteenth century Scottish home, will she find the love she’s always dreamed of, or will she be caught up in a deadly family feud where treachery, betrayal, and murder shatter her heart forever…

By Andrea Matthews

Maggie Armstrong grew up enchanted by her father’s tales of blood feuds and border raids. In fact, she could have easily fallen for the man portrayed in one particular image in his portrait collection. Yet when her father reveals he was himself an infamous Border reiver, she finds it a bit far-fetched—to say the least—especially when he announces his plans to return to his sixteenth century Scottish home with her in tow.

Suspecting it’s just his way of getting her to accompany him on yet another archaeological dig, Maggie agrees to the expedition, only to find herself transported four hundred and fifty years into the past. Though a bit disoriented at first, she discovers her father’s world to be every bit as exciting as his stories, particularly when she’s introduced to Ian Rutherford, the charming son of a neighboring laird. However, when her uncle announces her betrothal to Ian, Maggie’s twentieth-century sensibilities are outraged. She hardly even knows the man. But a refusal of his affections could ignite a blood feud.

Maggie’s worlds are colliding. Though she’s found the family she always wanted, the sixteenth century is a dangerous place. Betrayal, treachery, and a tragic murder have her questioning whether she should remain or try to make her way back to her own time.

To make matters worse, tensions escalate when she stumbles across Bonnie Will Foster, the dashing young man in her father’s portrait collection, only to learn he is a dreaded Englishman. But could he be the hero she’s always dreamed him to be? Or will his need for revenge against Ian shatter more than her heart?

Maggie lounged back amongst the fragrant blossoms, the soft sunlight no more than a golden glow along the horizon. Though the air remained damp, the promise of warmth comforted her, and she closed her eyes, letting its delicate cocoon engulf her weary body. A few yards away, a thrush welcomed the coming day, tweeting its morning song in perfect harmony with the steady bass of a croaking frog. The sweet melody soothed her cluttered mind and lulled her into a light sleep.

Images of beaches and warm summer days at the shore filled her dreams. Memories of sandcastles and dabbling her toes in the ocean sent her senses reeling. She could almost smell the salt air, hear the surf crashing against the shore. But wait—those were no breaking waves she heard, but something else, something far more menacing.

With a sudden jolt, she woke, the predawn tranquility shattered by a distant rumble. Maggie sprang up, her eyes widening as she recognized the thunderous beat of hooves rising from beyond the ridge. Behind her, about five hundred yards away, pressed against the graying sky, stood her uncle’s tower. He’d warned her about venturing from the safety of its walls, but she’d been too stubborn to take his words to heart. Perhaps she should have put her dislike of the man aside just this once.

Frantic visions of vengeful reivers sprang to mind, and she rose, determined to make a sprint for the distant peel tower. With the creak of leather armor already echoing in her ears, she struggled to gain purchase on the dew-covered ground, but she slipped and fell into the tall grass of the gentle slope

Pushing herself up, she chanced a glance over her shoulder and froze. He was nearly upon her, his steel-blue eyes reflecting the mood of the moor. A wave of terror washed over her, for somehow she knew this time Will Foster wouldn’t turn and ride away.

She slumped back on her elbows, unable to move, the world around her fading into obscurity. Riders rode by on their way to the tower, their images blurred and distorted, for nothing could pry her attention from Will or the amulet he wore around his neck. He paused a few feet from where she’d fallen, tugging hard on the reins, hunger burning in his gaze.

Maggie swallowed hard, anger and fear lodged in her breast. She tried to embrace the former, but it was tempered by a sudden desire that caused her thighs to quiver and her mouth to long for the touch of the striking young reiver before her.

Will nudged his horse closer, the fire in his eyes intensifying, and this time fear surged to the fore, jarring Maggie back to her senses. No matter how handsome he may appear, he remained at heart a murdering barbarian, his intentions all too clear. Digging her heels into the soft earth, she pushed herself into an upright position and started running for the tower.

⭐Pump Up Your Book Virtual Book Tour Kick Off⭐Moon Deeds by Palmer Pickering & Book Giveaway @palmerpickerin1 #MoonDeeds #Scifi #Fantasy

Twins Cassidy and Torr must save Earth from a ruthless enemy at a time when the only force more powerful than alien technology is magic…

By Palmer Pickering

It’s 2090: the last outpost of freedom is the moon, the best defense against technology is magic, and the only hope for humankind rests in the hands of the Star Children.

Twins Cassidy and Torr must save Earth from a ruthless enemy at a time when the only force more powerful than alien technology is magic. Moon Deeds launches the siblings’ journey across the galaxy, where they must learn their power as the Star Children, claim their shamanic heritage, and battle dark forces that threaten humankind.

The Star Children Saga follows Cassidy and Torr as they slowly awaken to their destiny as the twin Star Children, born every millennium to reconnect with the source of all life. They come to discover the sheer enormity of their task: to find our ancestors on a lost planet across the galaxy and save humanity from a spiraling descent into darkness. The powers they must wield to accomplish this task are truly frightening and put at risk everything they love.

Come along with twenty-year-old twins Cassidy and Torr, who inherited deeds to land parcels on the moon. They want to use their moon deeds to get off Earth and escape a brutal dictatorship. But first they must unlock their shaman powers.

A rollicking yet poignant adventure in the not too distant future, when we have colonized the moon and nearly lost Earth to a dictatorship. Only the shamans remain free, plus the lucky ones who escaped to the moon.

Join the adventure! An addictive space opera, science-fantasy series.

“This is a marvelous book. The characters are compelling, complex, and emotional. The future described is neither all evil nor all good, and it’s described so realistically that I can still feel the moon dust in my nose and expect to see large packing containers around every corner. The text is delightfully written with none of the bad grammar that makes picky people like me wince even in an otherwise great story. Alas, this is just the first book of the series, and it appears I’ll have to wait a whole year for the next one. I really need to know *now* what happens next!” – Garden Reader

“I was totally captivated by this story. It is set just far enough into our future that I could see it all unfold. This tale has it all, mystery, magic, aliens, war, family, friendship and love. The authors ability to paint landscapes with words is amazing! I can not wait for book two to come out. I must know the fate of the Star Children!” – VR

“Anything dealing with the moon is almost immediately mystical and magical. Throw in a heart racing adventure and characters that will leave a mark on your heart and you have a masterpiece!” – Taylor Johnson (Educator, Netgalley)

“I found this novel to be as much a psychological thriller as it is a science fiction adventure, and the draw-in happens almost instantly. This is unquestionably one of the best books I’ve read this year and Pickering has roped in an entire family as new fans. I’d give Moon Deeds a whole bucket of stars if I could.” – Asher Syed (Readers’ Favorite)

“There is so much to love about this book, from its complex and intricately woven plot filled with tension, strife, and discovery, to the personal attachment you begin to build with the characters due to finely executed character building, engaging personalities, and difficulties in both moral dilemmas and situations. The pace is perfect to build tension, and I loved the length of this book.” – K.J. Simmill (Readers’ Favorite)

Chapter 2 - Miramar

San Diego California, Western Free States, planet Earth

July 9, 2090

Something was not right with the air. There was a crackling that Torr could only sense when he stopped breathing. An intermittent wave of whispering, skin-tingling static. He lay on the platform inside the shadows of the cement bunker and stared through his rifle scope at the Shaman’s Shield. For three years the cloud barrier had stood between the Western Free States and the Tegs. Torr had joined the Gaia United rebels at the southern border two years ago, facing the massive wall every day. It soared up into the sky as though it were a towering marble cliff or a plunging waterfall, five miles high, stretching east to west far as the eye could see, shimmering like water but solid as stone. As far as anyone could tell, it was a cumulonimbus cloud made of ash from the volcanic mountains, held together by an unknown shamanic magic. The scientists called it an electromagnetic force field, of a sort no one had ever seen before. At its peak, the wall curved overhead, sealing them in from above in a thick cloud cover. But today the southern wall had receded from its normal position, exposing flat desert scrubland and skeletal bushes coated in ash. Since dawn, dark, vertical shadows had appeared at the base of the wall, as though some giant creature had attacked it overnight with long, jagged claws.

Torr crawled forward and poked his head out through the open front of the bunker half-buried in the hillside, and peered up at the sky. The cloud barrier overhead still appeared intact; the sky was gray and gloomy as ever, though it smelled like a storm was brewing. He pulled himself back inside and settled down behind his gun, tightening its bipod and adjusting the sand bag under the butt of the rifle. He inhaled deeply, held in his breath for three seconds, then exhaled and held it out for three seconds, hoping the breathing exercise would stop his cheek from twitching. It hadn’t bothered him in months—now his left cheek was spasming non-stop. He could not shoot with it jittering like that.

Inhale one two three. Exhale one two three.

He glanced over his right shoulder at Reina, propped up on her elbows on the plywood platform between him and the cement wall. She was staring through her spotting scope. Her TAFT stood on its bipod next to her, loaded and ready to mow down Tegs should they come streaming across the plain. Torr wanted to die before she did; he didn’t think he could bear to watch her suffer, or see her dead eyes staring up at him. It was a selfish thing to wish, but he wished it anyway. Bobby, on the other hand, lying on the platform to his left—two hundred pounds of solid muscle—he wouldn’t mind dying before Bobby. Torr would lean into him as he died, and Bobby would tell him everything was going to be all right, even though they both knew it wasn’t.

⭐Pump Up Your Book Virtual Book Tour Kick Off⭐Erabon Prophecy Trilogy by Randy C. Dockens @RandyCDockens #ErabonProphcyTrilogy #ChristianScienceFiction

An astronaut, accidentally thrown deep into the universe without hope of getting home discovers he is part of an ancient alien prophecy that, although so foreign to him, also feels extremely familiar…

By Randy C. Dockens

An exciting trilogy where an astronaut, nicknamed Nuke and working on an interstellar gate, is accidentally thrown so deep into the universe there is no way for him to get home. He does, however, find life on a nearby planet, one in which the citizens look very different from him.

Although tense at first, he finds these aliens think he is the forerunner to the return of their deity and has been charged with reuniting the clans living on six different planets. What is stranger to him still is that while everything seems so foreign from anything he has ever experienced, there is an element that also feels extremely familiar.

He has to gain the trust from each alien clan and demonstrate through various acts that he is the one they have been waiting for so each culture can fully accept him and follow him. But for the aliens to accept him as the prophet to their deity, Erabon, he has to first accept it and believe it himself.

As Nuke sat on the beach, he saw Ti’sulh coming up through the lagoon once more and walking toward him. Without saying a word, she came and sat beside him. They both sat and watched the sunset without exchanging a word. As the sun went below the horizon, the sky filled with brilliant golds and reds—truly a spectacular show.

     “That was beautiful,” Ti’sulh said.

Nuke looked at her and nodded. Evidently, this was the first one she had seen. “Worth the trip?” he asked.

She nodded. “But that wasn’t my main reason for coming. Although . . . ” She gave a big smile. “I’m glad I came before sundown to view it.”

Nuke laughed. “Two birds with one stone?”

Ti’sulh scrunched her face. “Two birds? One stone?”

Nuke looked down and shook his head. Trying to explain wasn’t worth the effort. He would have to get her to understand the concept of a bird and then why a person would want to kill such a creature. No, that was too much to try for.  “Doesn’t matter. You came to talk to me about the prophecy. Didn’t you?”

Ti’sulh nodded. “Yes. I have been talking with Y’din for the most part of the day.”

Nuke leaned back on his hands. “That’s why I came here. I thought being out of the way was best until you and he came to some type of decision.”

Ti’sulh dug in the sand with her toes. “Y’din thinks you’re a fraud.”

Nuke gave a sigh with a small chuckle. “Fraud?” He looked at Ti’sulh. “I’ve never claimed to be anything but lost.”

She shrugged. “True. But you can’t deny how you fulfill the prophecy.”

He raised his eyebrows. “It seems Y’din can.”

Ti’sulh cocked her head. “Yes, that is true. He feels there is one additional test you must pass before he could be convinced.”

“Just one?” Nuke laughed. “What does he want me to do? Breathe underwater or something?”

Ti’sulh didn’t laugh; she just looked at him. Nuke stopped laughing and looked at her, his mouth open. “You’ve got to be kidding.” He shook his head. “How does he expect me to do that?”

     “I don’t think he does.”

“Oh, so he’s looking for a way to kill me off?” Nuke drew in the sand with his index finger. Why did that upset him? It wasn’t as though he thought he was a forerunner to Erabon. He paused. I don’t. Do I?

Ti’sulh put her hand on his shoulder. “Are you all right?”

“If this is not part of the prophecy, why is Y’din bent on me passing an additional test?”

Ti’sulh put her hands together and intertwined her fingers. “I have to agree with him.”

Nuke’s eyes widened. “Why is that?”

Ti’sulh’s “hair” moved more than normal. “It’s implied in the prophecy. You’re supposed to be able to open all six sides of the talisman. The talisman is in the temple, and the temple is underwater.”

“How long would I be underwater?”

     “About an hour.”

Nuke coughed. “An hour?” He shook his head. “OK. I concede I’m not your prophet.”

She grabbed his arm. “Don’t say that. I have confidence in you even if Y’din does not.”

He put his hand on top of hers. “How . . . how can you say that? Your anatomy allows you to breathe underwater and on land. Mine doesn’t.”

Ti’sulh shook her head. “Erabon does not make mistakes.” Her eyes locked onto his. “He sent you to us. He knew what was required, so he will make his prophecy happen.”

Nuke took a deep breath. “I appreciate your vote of confidence, but . . . ”

Ti’sulh put her index finger to his lips. “Have faith. Erabon does not make mistakes.” She stood. “Now come with me. We have to prepare.”

Nuke wanted to protest, but doing so seemed useless. Instead, he followed her back to her home under the water. As soon as they emerged in the observatory where one could either view the underwater spectacle of fish and coral, or enter the sea, Y’din was there—waiting. He looked annoyed.

     What a surprise, Nuke thought.

“Come,” Y’din stated. “We need to prepare.” He turned and wal
